Hi, my name is Heather. I was married for 12 years and my ex left me with our four children for another woman. A couple of years later, I was engaged and had a baby with my fiance unexpectedly. My children and I are living with him. Last Friday he beat me...and now I'm faced with a fear I've never known. I need assistance in finding a place to live. I'm not financially able to do this on my own. I have child support for my 4 older children and I attend college part-full time and work as often as my schedule allows at a florist. Can someone tell me what to do? Please,..I just want information about what programs are available...I can't contact the police about the abuse. He threatened my life that night and I'm too afraid.
Is there a program that will help me with rent? I can handle utilities but I can't handle both rent/utilities.
Any advice would be so appreciated.
